DVS Compliant Haulage into London

Fleet fitted to the Progressive Safe System, cleared for deliveries inside Greater London.

The London Direct Vision Standard rates HGVs on how much the driver can see directly from the cab. Vehicles operating in Greater London need a valid permit, and those below the required star rating must be fitted with a Progressive Safe System to obtain one.

Our fleet meets the requirement and is fitted with progressive safety systems, so deliveries into the capital happen without a last-minute permit problem.

Why this matters to you, not just to us

DVS enforcement falls on the operator, but the consequence lands on the customer. A non-compliant vehicle turned back at the boundary is a failed delivery, a wasted slot and a penalty charge — and it is your consignment sitting on it.

Checking DVS status is now a standard part of haulier selection for anyone delivering inside the capital. We keep ours current so it is one fewer thing on your compliance checklist.

Beyond the permit

The Progressive Safe System is not box-ticking. It covers camera monitoring of the nearside, blind spot sensors, audible warnings for turning manoeuvres, side underrun protection and warning signage — measures aimed squarely at cyclist and pedestrian safety in dense urban traffic.

Combined with our HVO fuel option, deliveries into London can be made both DVS-compliant and lower-carbon on contracts where that is specified.

Common questions

Is your fleet DVS compliant?
Yes. Our vehicles meet the Direct Vision Standard requirements and are fitted with Progressive Safe System equipment for operation in Greater London.
What is the Progressive Safe System?
It is the package of safety equipment required for HGVs that do not meet the direct vision star rating on their own — camera monitoring, blind spot sensors, audible turn warnings, side underrun protection and warning signage.
Can you deliver containers inside the Congestion Charge zone?
Yes, subject to the usual access restrictions and delivery windows for the specific site. Tell us the postcode and any timed access conditions when you book.

Need a container moved?

Tell us the container size, the collection port and the delivery postcode. We quote the same working day wherever possible.
