HVO Fuel — Lower Carbon Container Haulage

Hydrotreated vegetable oil available across the fleet for lower-carbon movements.

The green HVO nozzle on a commercial fuel island, racked alongside the standard diesel pumps.

Hydrotreated vegetable oil is a renewable diesel made from waste fats and vegetable oils. It burns in a standard diesel engine with no modification, and it substantially reduces lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions compared with fossil diesel.

We offer HVO for customers with emissions reduction targets, so the haulage leg of your supply chain can be decarbonised without changing anything else about how you ship.

Why it matters for Scope 3 reporting

For most importers, inbound transport is a Scope 3 emission — significant in the total, and awkward to reduce because it sits with a supplier rather than in your own operation.

Switching the haulage leg to HVO is one of the few Scope 3 levers available that requires no change to your own processes. It is a supplier choice rather than a capital project.

Evidencing the saving

A carbon claim is only useful if it stands up to audit. We can provide fuel documentation to support your reporting on HVO-fuelled movements.

Tell us what your reporting framework requires and we will confirm what we can evidence before you commit.

Common questions

What is HVO fuel?
Hydrotreated vegetable oil — a renewable diesel produced from waste fats and vegetable oils. It works in a standard diesel engine with no modification and substantially cuts lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions compared with fossil diesel.
Does HVO affect delivery performance?
No. It is a drop-in replacement for diesel, so vehicle performance, range and reliability are unchanged. The only difference is the emissions profile.
Can you provide emissions data for our reporting?
Tell us what your reporting framework requires and we will confirm what documentation we can supply before you commit to the contract.

Need a container moved?

Tell us the container size, the collection port and the delivery postcode. We quote the same working day wherever possible.
