Low Loader Trailer Haulage
Broshuis extendable step frame low loader with 10t winch, rated for heavy haulage up to 65 tonnes under STGO CAT2.

Our Broshuis extendable step frame low loader carries plant, machinery and oversized loads that will not go on a standard flatbed. Fitted with a 10-tonne winch, it can recover non-running equipment onto the deck without a second machine.
For loads beyond normal weight limits we offer heavy haulage under STGO CAT2 rules, up to 65 tonnes, with police notifications and escort vehicles arranged for specialist project work.
What it carries
Excavators, telehandlers, agricultural machinery, industrial plant, static units and containers that need a lower deck height to clear a restricted route — plus Open Top and Flat Rack containers, which carry cargo too large to fit inside a standard box and stick out at the top or the sides.
The 10-tonne winch matters more than people expect. Non-running plant, machinery with a flat battery, or equipment being moved for repair can all be loaded without arranging a separate lift.
Heavy and abnormal loads
Some jobs go well beyond normal weight limits. For these we operate under STGO CAT2 rules, which permits loads up to 65 tonnes, and we handle the police notifications and escort vehicles that out-of-gauge and indivisible loads require.
Loads exceeding standard dimensions may also need notification to the highway authorities and, in some cases, a route survey. We handle that process rather than leaving it to the customer — but give us the dimensions and weight early, since notification periods are set by regulation and cannot be shortened.

Common questions
- What is the maximum weight you can carry on the low loader?
- Up to 65 tonnes for heavy haulage under STGO CAT2. Send us the machine make and model, or the load's weight and dimensions, and we will confirm it against the trailer and route.
- Can you load machinery that will not run?
- Yes. The trailer is fitted with a 10-tonne winch, so non-running plant can be pulled onto the deck without a separate lifting machine.
- Do you carry Open Top and Flat Rack containers?
- Yes. Both are equipped for on the low loader, so cargo that sticks out at the top or the sides of a standard container still has a safe, legal way to move.
- Do you arrange abnormal load notifications?
- Yes. Where a movement requires notification to the police or highway authorities, or an escort vehicle, we arrange it — but we need the dimensions well in advance because the notice periods are fixed by regulation.
